This is testimony of an Israeli hero from the battle against Hezballah’s terrorists during the conflict in July/August 2006, which they incited.
* Captain Roy Klein the late, 2nd in command of commanding the Golani 51 battalion, from the Eli settlement, was the highest rank among his soldiers in Bint Jabbel, Lebanon. During the battle he noticed a grenade that was thrown on his soldiers. Since it was too late to avoid the grenade (it takes 3 seconds for a grenade to explode) and prevent it from hitting his soldiers, he jumped on it so that his body will take most of the hit and that his soldiers will not get hurt. His sacrifice was successful, his soldiers that survived said that he yelled "Sh’ma Israel" (Hear O Israel ), while he jumped on the grenade.
Roy Klein was buried on his 31st birthday.
It is told that he was an excellent saxophone player and a brilliant man, that he graduated his engineering studies with honors. That he traveled with his friends in Africa that he had the sweetest laugh, all his acquaintances describe him as a gentle peaceful man, and his widow’s wish is that her kids will grow into their father’s footsteps...
Roy Klein, a real hero in blessed memory
Instead of lighting a candle, forward his story. He deserves much more, but this is all that we can do
